PBS Offshore (Ponticelli UK Ltd) are seeking a dynamic and ambitious individual to join our team. This role will be responsible for leading mechanical engineering activities within their designated asset, overseeing the maintenance and reliability of mechanical systems, providing technical leadership, and ensuring that all mechanical operations meet industry standards and safety requirements.
Key Deliverables:
- Lead the provision of daily mechanical engineering support to offshore operations, ensuring the reliability and efficiency of mechanical systems.
- Work closely with Technical Authorities to maintain the integrity of mechanical systems, adhering to industry standards and safety regulations.
- Oversee the integration of planned maintenance activities into short and long-term asset plans, with a focus on optimizing maintenance activities and reducing downtime.
- Lead the coordination of vendor activities, ensuring the availability of resources and expertise to support planned and corrective maintenance tasks.
- Lead and support reliability engineers in implementing reliability improvement programs and conducting Root Cause Analysis (RCA) to enhance mechanical system performance.
- Proactively drive and promote HS&E processes, ensuring that all mechanical operations are conducted safely and responsibly.
- Provide high-level technical expertise during project execution and shutdown periods, ensuring that all mechanical activities are well-prepared and executed.
- Maintain regular communication with key stakeholders to review and update mechanical maintenance content in CMMS (UNISOL, SAP) systems.
- Address and resolve complex technical issues, providing guidance to engineers and offshore teams to ensure operational continuity.
- Ensure the quality of mechanical engineering deliverables, including workpacks, technical reports, and maintenance plans, meets the highest standards.
Qualifications and Work Experience:
- Essential: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Desirable: Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
- Desirable: SAP user certification, SCQF level 8 or higher.
- Essential: In-depth experience in mechanical engineering, with significant experience in the energy sector.
- Desirable: Extensive experience with both static and rotating equipment maintenance.
Job Specific Knowledge:
- Essential: In-depth knowledge of mechanical systems in an offshore environment.
- Essential: Proven experience in maintenance strategy development and implementation

- Essential: Strong leadership and team management skills.
