PBS Offshore (Ponticelli UK Ltd) are seeking a dynamic and ambitious individual to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced mechanical engineer to work closely with many of the Company’s experienced professionals within a maintenance support engineering environment.
Details/duties:
- Streamline and implement a single work process through all asset
- Continuously improve the maintenance work process
- Capture and deploy best practices to improve the work method
- Participation in RCA processes and investigations as applicable
- Continuously improve the maintenance plan
- Analyse and propose an action plan to reduce the backlog
- Liaise with the material team for spare part management strategy
- Liaise with the Method Maintenance lead for amending and implementing PBS maintenance Philosophy
- Support the Maintenance team for specific equipment
Accountabilities:
Streamline the Work Process:
- Analyse and understand the current work process
- Establish the current work process by performing the DILO (Day in the life of) method
- Perform the Brownpaper method to capture best practices and areas of improvement
- Map the list of digital tools used to perform the work
- Respect the project planning (Milestone) and report the progress to the Project Manager
- Highlight the blocking point or/and potential delays
- Prepare and participate to the project committee
- Prepare the steering committee
- Manage working groups (facilitator skills)
- Implement the new work process and ensure its use (audits)
Support the maintenance team:
- Continuously improve the maintenance plan
- Assist the SAP analyst team to manage the MDCR portfolio
- Assist the Preparation team to manage the backlog strategy
- Analyse KPIs to implement an action for bad indicators and follow the progress
- Capitalise data from offshore when the work is closed to continuously improve the work preparation/method
Qualifications/Experience required:
- Proven experience in a similar position within the Oil & Gas industry.
- 2:1 or 2:2 Honours Degree is preferred, and/or qualification through relevant industry / work experience.
- Excellent numeracy & IT skills
- Desire to work within a dynamic work environment
- Willingness to travel to sites, including offshore
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team and independently when required
- Organisational & time management skills
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
