Dunbar is approximately 480km north east of Aberdeen and 160km east of the Shetlands in 145m of water. The facility is 22km south of the Alwyn North facility and was commissioned in 1992 with an original design life of 30 years. In “Stand-Alone” mode, there is a maximum operational POB of 60.
Minimum process facilities are installed on the platform. Production from Ellon and Grant satellite subsea wells is transported to the Dunbar via two 6” subsea flowlines. In addition, subsea umbilicals for the control of Nuggets, Forvie and Jura are routed to Dunbar. Dunbar production fluids, including Ellon and Grant are exported to Alwyn North via 16” multiphase pipeline for additional processing and export.
