Junior Planner

Job Purpose:

PBS (Brand Energy & Infrastructure Services) are recruiting for a junior planner to join the planning function. Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Duties associated with administration and project controls
  • Attend regular planning meetings across all contracts ensuring the quality and standards are met
  • Develop WBS, baselines, schedules and regular monitoring
  • Identification and reporting of planning risk and supporting the management of change, growth and variation
  • Production of regular planning reports with accompanying narrative, in line with the business and client requirements, which may include histograms, s-curves and planner boards
  • Analysis of schedule attainment, SPI/CPI, resource levels, critical paths, floats and other metrics as required
  • Compliance with planning procedures and templates and will support the periodic audit work to ensure consistency of application use
  • Interface daily with project team and project controls teams to ensure accurate reporting and trustworthy data sets

 

Accountability:

  • Customer satisfaction: execute the process, planning practice and expected behaviours on the contract and customer relationship management with respect to the planning service.
  • Management: feedback of issues and initiatives to Planning Governance Manager.
  • Service Provision: liaise with planning, cost, estimating and document control to deliver best practice.

 

Qualification/Experience:

  • Experience in a similar position desirable but not essential
  • Primavera P6 experience (formal training experience required or willingness to undertake training)
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail, diligence and self discipline
  • Acceptive of feedback and responsibility for improving performance
  • Able to handle change effectively and adapt to new situations
