Team PBS Volunteers

Team PBS volunteers headed out to AberNecessities on Friday to turn their hand to all things volunteer-related. They lugged and sorted and wrapped and boxed, and then they posed for a team photo!

AberNecessities recognises the importance of meeting the basic needs of a child in order to give them the best possible start. They support children across Aberdeen City and Shire living in poverty, and have helped over 8,000 children since their launch in March 2019. That’s over 8,000 full tummies, over 8,000 pairs of cosy hands and feet and over 8,000 smiles. But, with COVID not long behind us and the current cost of living and energy crises, more and more families are in need of assistance.

AberNecessites operate on a referral basis, accepting applications from a network of professionals across the health, social care and education systems. This allows them to distribute items fairly and efficiently to families who are in need support – for newborns right up to 18 year olds.

Whether you want to donate or volunteer or both; your help will be gratefully received.

Visit their website: www.abernecessities.co.uk, or give them a call!

Team PBS thank AberNecessities for all that they do, and especially volunteer Rachel for keeping them in check! They’ll be back next year!
