You’ve likely heard the well-known statistic that 90% of strategic plans fail; It’s easy to believe the fault lies with a poorly designed plan, but even 67% of well-formulated strategies fail due to poor execution.
At PBS we are committed to bucking this trend, ensuring delivery of a strategy designed and delivered by our team.
Eight months into our strategy going live, we’re seeing the rewards and continuous improvement for our organisation thanks to sustained focus on the six strategic principles we’ve set ourselves.
Today we gathered our leadership team for a second off-site review to check-in against our progress and align our next steps.
Using our innovative digital live strategy view – which allows our leaders to have a clear view at any time of the progress from a high level, right down to specific actions against each of our strategy principles – our team leads walked us through what’s gone well, what’s outstanding and what’s coming up.

“The energy and enthusiasm is inspiring! Designing a strategy is one thing, but delivering it is quite another – and not easy, which is well known throughout the industry. But the way we’ve set ourselves up with a first-class system to monitor and measure progress, means executing our strategy has become easier through visibility of progress and actions. Eight months in we are proud of the strategic progress we are making. Well done to everyone”
